National School Bus Safety Week is an active and evolving public education program and an excellent way for parents, students, teachers, motorists, school bus operators, school administrators, and other interested parties – to join forces and address the importance of school bus safety. Designed to promote school bus safety, school districts throughout the country observe School Bus Safety Week. LAREDO ISD celebrates and are THANKFUL to our School Bus Operation!

LISD continues to work hand in hand with our Laredo Police Department and City law enforcement agencies to protect all of our students, staff and schools. We encourage the reporting of any potential danger and will act swiftly to prosecute any offenders to the full extent of the law. Working together we can deter any threats to the safety of our LISD teaching and learning community. “See something, hear something, say something.”

Save the Date! The Book Fair is coming to the Gallego Library from October 14-21. No AR Testing for Extended Library on 10/18 & 10/19, we will open for purchase.


Our 2nd graders were excited to start their new typing class today! All students will be able to practice the proper way to type during lab.
