At GECHS, we believe in the power of giving back to the community, and this commitment extends beyond our students to include our staff members. Recently, two of our staff members were recognized for volunteering at CASA Voz de Niños, an organization that provides support and care for foster children in need.
This act of service is a reflection of our school’s core values, where volunteerism is a chance to instill a sense of responsibility, compassion, and community within everyone at GECHS. #PhoenixPride

Congratulations to Cyrstal Chavana for being named the U.S. Border Patrol "Youth of the Month" for December. #PhoenixPride

Hello LISD Parents and Families,
As the holiday season approaches, we want to remind you how crucial school attendance is to your child’s academic success. Understandably, this time of year can be busy, but we want to urge you to remember how missed school days around the holidays can impact your child’s progress from kindergarten through high school.
We know that family time is precious and essential, but it’s important to remember that extended vacations can the send the wrong message about the importance of regular attendance.
So, please ensure your child is present until the winter break begins and returns to school on the scheduled dates. We greatly appreciate your support in this matter.
Happy Holidays!

Congratulations to Garcia Early College High School junior Sofia Madrigal for being named LISD December Student of the Month. To read about LISD's other December Student of the Month recipients please click on the SOTM banner on LISD's website.

Congratulations to Raul Pena III, GECHS Secretary, on your graduation from TAMIU!
We are incredibly proud of your accomplishments and wish you the best in all your future endeavors. #PhoenixPride #DustDevil

The Moments of Relaxation event offered students a much-needed opportunity to unwind after the stress of the semester and final exams. Attendees learned effective breathing techniques and muscle relaxation exercises to help manage stress. Adding to the calming atmosphere was Pearl, a 6-year-old yellow Labrador from the U.S. Border Patrol's Support Canine Program. Trained as both a guide and support dog, Pearl provided emotional comfort through hugs and interactions, bringing joy to students.

#MaroonMonday! Don't forget to wear your spirit shirt and Santa hat to show your school and Christmas spirit!

Get Ready to Spread Holiday Cheer!
Starting tomorrow, December 5, we are excited to launch our festive "12 Days of Christmas" activities! We invite everyone to join in and help make this celebration truly unforgettable.
Let’s make our campus merry and bright as we come together to celebrate the season.
Faculty and students, don’t miss out on the fun and laughter! Be sure to check the schedule of events and mark your calendars. Your participation is what makes this season magical.
Happy Holidays!
