The robotics team is gearing up for their first competition, scheduled for October 19. Excitement is building as the team works on their preparations and strategies to showcase their skills.

As we wrap up September, we invite everyone to show their support for Childhood Cancer Awareness by wearing yellow or gold this Friday, September 27. By wearing yellow or gold, we show our support for children and families battling cancer and honor the memory of one of our own, Camila Menchaca. Let's come together to make a powerful statement of support and love.
Webb County held the 28th Annual Domestic Violence Coalition Proclamation alongside county and city officials. Yvana Guzman, an 11th grade student at Garcia Early College High School, recited a poem in honor of domestic violence survivors titled "I'm A Woman and I Deserve More."

Please be advised that there will be no classes for 9th grade students on Monday, September 23, due to Staff Development. Classes will resume regular schedule on Tuesday, September 24.

The DPS Crime Lab held an open house for the public. Students from Garcia Early College High School had a unique chance to explore forensic evidence and engage with a scientist. This rare annual event in Laredo was both educational and memorable, offering insights not often available to the community.
Join a Club! This was the message for freshmen today. The Student Organization Leadership Assembly (SOLA) organized a recruitment event specifically for GECHS freshmen, encouraging them to explore various club opportunities.
