M S Ryan Elementary is preparing to cultivate a passion for reading with its upcoming District Accelerated Reader (AR) Kick-Off Week, scheduled for August 17 through August 21, 2026. Under the theme "When You READ, you GROW and BLOOM," the campus library has planned a week filled with engaging daily themes, featured children's literature, and themed dress-up days.
The week-long celebration connects literary themes with nature, encouraging students to expand their minds through books while dressing up in festive attire each day.
Daily Schedule & Activities
Monday, Aug 17 – Let Your Reading Bloom
Book: The Seed Who Was Afraid to Be Planted by Anthony DeStefano

Tuesday, Aug 18 – Books Grow Your Mind

Thursday, Aug 20 – Pollinate with Books

Friday, Aug 21 – We Are Extraordinary Readers

Librarian Message: "Just like the gardener, I can take ideas from a book and grow something extraordinary."
Dress Code: Gardener attire or flowery outfit.
