Checkmate! LISD’s named its top chess players after a fierce competition this past Saturday at the LISD PAC in the Dr. Marcus Nelson Conference Center. The LISD Fine Arts Department hosted an All-Star Chess Tournament for the district’s All-Star chess players. The top 10 winners were recognized with either a trophy or medal for their accomplishments.
Laredo ISD recognized its Elementary and Secondary Teacher of the Year and Clerical and Instructional Paraprofessional of the Year nominees during the district’s Employee of the Year Banquet which was held at the Dr. Marcus Nelson Conference Center.
🚀 Houston, We Have a Celebration! 👽
What an "out of this world" morning we had at Ryan Elementary! Today, our stellar 3rd and 4th grade Bobcats officially completed their mission for the school year at our end-of-year awards ceremony.
The stage was completely transformed into a deep-space headquarters, overflowing with UFOs and some very friendly alien visitors. It was the perfect backdrop to celebrate the astronomical achievements of our students! 🛸✨
We are so incredibly proud of the hard work and growth our Bobcats have shown this year. Whether they are mastering multiplication or showing light-years of empathy, these kids are truly the brightest stars in the galaxy. 🌌










🚀 BLAST OFF! 🛸✨
Today was an "Out of This World" Awards Ceremony at Ryan Elementary! We are over the moon with pride for our Pre-K 3, Pre-K 4, 1st Grade, and 2nd Grade Bobcats.
Our superstars took to a stage decked out with aliens and UFOs to celebrate their stellar achievements this year. The kids have been counting down the days and were so excited to see their hard work recognized in such a cosmic way! 👽🌟
Whether it’s mastering new skills or showing out-of-this-world kindness, these students are proving that the sky is the limit for our Bobcat family. 🐾💫
A huge thank you to everyone who helped launch this celebration and to the parents who came out to cheer on our little Martians!










The LISD Fine Arts Department hosted the Mustang Team Feeder Pattern Fine Arts Extravaganza. The entertainment included the Mustang Feed Pattern Elementary Choir, Milton Elementary Ballet Folclórico, Nixon High School Ballet Folclórico, Lamar Middle School Mariachi, Lamar Middle School Orchestra and Band, and Nixon High School Cheerleaders and Band.
