Real conversations with real people…Thank you to Driscoll Health Plan, a community agency for engaging and empowering our Cigarroa High parents and grandparents during a three-day “Triple P” Seminar. Many tips and ideas on raising responsible adolescents were shared during these sessions. A big congratulations to all attendees!





Congratulations 🎉 to our first Sabas Perez Early College High School National STEM Honor Society inductees. We inducted our junior SPECHS students who met the criteria through a special ceremony. A big shout out to our National STEM Honor Society co-sponsors, Ms. Garcia and Ms. De Hoyos for putting together a great ceremony.



Please join us in helping "Citizens on Patrol" raise pet food and supplies for pets in need in our community. Our Cigarroa HS Future Farmers of America and Parental Engagement groups are collecting donations at the front office "donation station" or at the FFA building. 🐶🐈🐾


Congratulation to our CHS Culinary Arts students for garnering many awards yesterday at the LISD Iron Chef competition. Kudos to Mr. Gilbert Cavazos and his students in participating and serving these delectable recipes.

Cigarroa High School will be conducting the TELPAS assessment for Reading and Writing on Tuesday, Feb. 20th for students in the Bilingual Program. Students who are testing have received their testing assignments via email and should bring their computers fully charged. Students who are not testing will report to their 6th block class. All students are expected to be present.

Parents: Friendly reminder there will be no classes for students on Friday, February 16th and Monday, February 19th.


Yesterday our CHS ASL (American Sign Language) Club was spreading love and signing awareness. They delivered Valentines to teachers and staff members and taught them how to sign "HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY". Thank you Ms. Bianca Cubriel for "Leading with Heart" and teaching our students another language that is instrumental in today's society! 💙

LISD ‘s Office of Communications hosted the 4th Annual LISD Scholars Golf Tournament on Saturday, February 10, at the Casa Blanc Golf Course. Close to 100 golfers enjoyed a fun-filled day of golf that included breakfast and lunch, door prizes, a cool goodie bag and a warm feeling from supporting LISD’s graduates on their way to college. Thanks to our sponsors and golfers LISD was able to raise money for scholarships for students from Martin High School, Nixon High School, Cigarroa High School, Garcia Early College High School, and Valdez High School.
