Looking forward to having all of you here on campus. As we start this new year, we will be starting classes in the new campus. Tomorrow, January 9, 2024 all 9th & 10th grade students will be picking up your new schedule in the Scrimshire Gym (New Gym). All 11th and 12th grade students will be picking up their schedule in the Montemayor Gym. QR code will be available on campus to have access to the new CHS building map

Blood Donors!! We need you!
Our local hospitals are experiencing a blood shortage after the holidays, putting patients at risk. Help us make sure everyone gets the blood they need.
CIGARROA will be hosting a blood drive this Wednesday, Jan. 10 and Thursday, Jan. 11 from 9-2 at the CHS library.
Don't forget to bring a picture ID! Community Service hours will be given.

Communities In Schools invited all Cigarroa students to participate during A&B Lunch in a CIS Christmas activity. Students shared their thoughts and wrote them down in an ornament. The Cigarroa High Parent & Family Engagement Program in collaboration with HOSA held a Toy Drive to help spread the joy to children. Mercy Ministries of Laredo, Mercy Clinic, will distribute the donated toys to children in our community. Thank you to everyone who helped make this initiative a success!
The Parent & Family Engagement Program and JROTC recently held a Food Drive to re-stock our TORO Pantry and assist our families during the holidays. Special thanks to the JROTC students and their Instructors, Ms. Pat Campos and Driscoll for their continued support.

The Student of the Month Program is designed to recognize worthy students for their exemplary academic efforts, community service, citizenship, athletics, or volunteer service. The student should demonstrate average academic effort, good school attendance and good discipline. The nominated student should also demonstrate one of the four Leading the Way categories; Leading with Heart, Inspiring Change, Supports Growth, and Drive Results.

Congratulations to our Cigarroa High School Agricultural Mechanics students on a job well done! Students have been working hard throughout this semester on achieving their T-Weld AWS D9.1 Certifications from horizontals, vertical downhills/uphills, and overhead positions. These certifications are challenging to achieve, especially for those who managed the uphills; so a big congrats goes out to them!
Cigarroa GEARUP seniors took an exciting trip to TSTC in Harlingen, immersing themselves in the Allied Health and Automotive departments! 🚗👩⚕️ Hands-on activities fueled their passion, making the experience both educational and unforgettable. Kudos to these future leaders!
