Thank you to our amazing community, staff, and students for your incredible support in the Kids Heart Challenge with the American Heart Association! Your generosity and participation made a huge impact. A special congratulations to Mrs. Rodriguez’s 1st-grade class for having the most participation and to Juan Campos for being our top student fundraiser. We truly appreciate everyone who took part—your efforts make a difference!

April is Autism Awareness Month, and we’re excited to participate in activities that promote acceptance, understanding, and support for individuals with autism. Join us for Blue Week and help us spread awareness with themed dress-up days!
📅 Blue Week Activities:
🔹 Monday, March 31 – “Super Hero” Day 🦸♂️ Not all heroes wear capes!
🔹 Tuesday, April 1 – Neon Day ✨ “Why fit in when you were born to stand out?”
🔹 Wednesday, April 2 – Wear Blue to raise Autism Awareness & Acceptance
🔹 Thursday, April 3 – Blue Sock Day 🧦 / Puzzle Piece Sock Day
🔹 Friday, April 4 – Kick the Stigma 🤠 Wear Western Attire
💡 We also encourage our Bobcat community to attend the Light It Up Blue Ceremony on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, from 5:30 – 9:00 PM at the LISD PAC Grounds. Let’s show our support by wearing blue!

Hey Bobcats! 🎉 National Library Week is coming up (March 31 - April 4, 2025) and we have some exciting activities planned! 📚✨
Check out the schedule:
March 31: Read a book under the big top! 🎪 And wear your silliest socks!
April 1: Snuggle up with a book in your comfiest pajamas. 😴
April 2: Dress up as your favorite circus or book character! 🎭
April 3: Be a circus ring leader by reading about community helpers, and dress up as your favorite one! 🚒👩⚕️
April 4: Hats off to reading! Decorate your own hat with your favorite book character and wear it while reading! 🎩🧢 We're having a contest and will choose some winners! (See the second image for inspiration!)
All the books featured can be found on TumbleBooks! Ask your librarian for the username and password.

Our incredible 4th grader, Laura Gutierrez, showcased her hard work and dedication at the Spelling Bee, making it all the way to the third round! We are so proud of her perseverance and effort in representing Ryan Elementary. Congratulations, Laura, on this amazing achievement! Keep up the great work!

Our amazing Bobcats rocked the stage with their “Bidi Bidi Breakfast” performance at LISD’s “Be a Star with School Breakfast” Singing Contest, earning 3rd place! 🎤🏆🎶 Their energy, talent, and hard work truly shined, and we couldn’t be prouder!
A huge thank you to Mrs. Gonzalez and Mr. Munoz for their support and dedication, making this an unforgettable experience for our students. Our Bobcats represented Ryan Elementary with so much pride and enthusiasm!

Today, we had the honor of welcoming members of the Superintendent Student Advisory Council as they read to our 2nd and 3rd graders! 📖✨ It was even more special to see some familiar faces—several of these Nixon students were former Ryan Bobcats! 🐾💜
We loved having them back on campus, inspiring our young readers. Thank you for sharing your time and love for literacy with us! 💜📚
A little late, but we celebrate Ms. Montoya every day! 💜✨ Diagnosticians Week was March 3rd-7th, and while we may have missed the date, we couldn’t let it go without showing love to our amazing diagnostician!
She works tirelessly to support our Bobcats, ensuring every student gets the services and care they need to thrive. Her dedication, kindness, and expertise make a world of difference! 🐾📚

Congratulations to Tiana and Ian, our Burger King Attendance Stars for February! 🏆✨ These two superstars have demonstrated incredible dedication by maintaining outstanding attendance all month long. Their commitment to being here every day is a true inspiration to us all. 👏

Track practice is set! 🏆 Students who made the team will meet on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday – March 17th, 18th, & 19th at Lamar Middle School from 6:15 PM - 7:15 PM.
📍Remember: This practice is only for students who qualified for the team.

🌮📚 This week, Mrs. Casarez’s first-grade class at Ryan Elementary took their learning to the next level with a week-long lesson based on So You Want to Grow a Taco? 🌱🌮 Students explored the process of growing ingredients and making tacos, wrapping up their learning with a real crunchy beef taco—a delicious hands-on experience!
A huge thank you to Taco Bell for sponsoring this fun and tasty activity! ❤️ Learning is always better when it’s this delicious!
That’s a wrap on Bobcat Track tryouts! 🏃♀️🏃♂️💨 Over the past three days, we had an amazing turnout, and we are so proud of all our students who gave it their all. 💪👏 A huge THANK YOU to Mrs. Romero, Mrs. Ramos, Mrs. Bland, Mrs. Zavala, Coach Loredo, Coach De La Cruz and Coach Martinez—for your dedication and support. 🙌❤️ We couldn’t have done it without you!
