The Laredo Independent School District in partnership with the City of Laredo Health Department will be offering flu vaccines at no cost for LISD students who are eligible under the Texas Vaccine for Children (TVFC)* requirements.The flu vaccine clinics are scheduled through October.

What a week for Ryan Elementary Volleyball!
A huge congratulations to our 4th Grade Purple Volleyball Team for their back-to-back wins over the Lady Hawks and the St. Augustine Knights White teams on Tuesday.
And a huge shoutout to our 4th Grade Silver Volleyball Team for their awesome victory over the Lady Hawks last night!
We are so proud of all our student-athletes. Go Bobcats!

A huge thank you to our computer lab managers, Mrs. Martinez and Mrs. Cedillo, for keeping our technology running smoothly for our students and staff. We also want to recognize our digital learning specialist, Ms. Moreno, for her expertise and support, and our IT technician, Mr. Garcia, for always being there to save the day.

Today, we're so proud to recognize one of our very own, Demi Jo, a brave childhood cancer warrior at Ryan Elementary! 🎗️
Demi Jo, along with her parents and our wonderful administrators, took part in the LISD's Childhood Cancer Awareness Month Proclamation Ceremony. It was an honor to stand with Demi Jo as we raised awareness for this important cause.
We are constantly inspired by Demi Jo's strength and resilience, and we're so glad to have her as part of our Ryan Elementary family! ❤️
Last week, our amazing 3rd-grade students at Ryan Elementary had a special visit from Happy Turtle for a SCAN presentation on Staying Drug Free! 🐢
Happy Turtle shared some fantastic tips on making smart choices and staying healthy. Our students learned about the importance of being kind to their bodies and minds. A huge thank you to SCAN for this important and engaging presentation!

Students from J.W. Nixon High School woke up bright and early this morning and reported to Ryan Elementary School. Nixon High varsity football players, cheerleaders and Golden Spurs line up to meet and greet Ryan students as they were dropped off for school by their parents today.
Also, Ryan Elementary School teacher Ms. Rozett Duran Casarez was surprised with a football jersey that was presented to her by her son, Joey, who is a receiver and defensive back for the Nixon Mustangs varsity team. Ms. Casarez will wear the jersey in support of the Mustang football team who plays CC Ray Friday night. Also accompanying the group was Nixon Head Coach Bennie Cabello.
What a fantastic way to start the day! A massive shoutout to the Nixon High School Mustangs Football team 🏈, the incredible Mustang Band 🎵, the spirited cheerleaders 📣, and the talented Golden Spurs Dance Team 💛. Thank you all for coming out and giving out students such a warm and enthusiastic welcome! 🤗 Your positive energy and support mean so much to us and helped everyone start their day with a smile. It's moments like these that make our community so special!

What a great week it’s been for our Ryan Elementary Bobcats! 🎈 Our Thursday AR kickoff theme was "Up, Up, and Away!" and our students dressed in vibrant hot air balloon colors to celebrate. We had an amazing time reading "Once Upon a Balloon" together.
Buzzing with excitement for our Wednesday AR kickoff! 🐝 Our theme was "Don't Bug Me, I'm Buzzing!" and our students truly embraced it. The halls of Ryan Elementary were filled with adorable bees and creative bugs. We had a wonderful time reading "Bumblebee Queen" together.
🚀Our Tuesday AR kickoff was a blast as we were "Soaring Through the Skies!" Students transformed into awesome astronauts and daring pilots, ready to explore the final frontier. We had a great time reading "Eight Days Gone" and launching into a new year of reading adventures.
