We had so much fun at Ryan Elementary yesterday celebrating "Hats Off to Neurodiversity!" 🧢🎩 Our students showed their support by wearing their favorite hats to recognize and celebrate all the different, wonderful ways people learn. Thank you for helping us champion acceptance and uniqueness! 🧠💡🐾

We started Dyslexia Awareness Week yesterday by celebrating what makes us all unique! Our students wore mismatched outfits to highlight how important it is to "celebrate our differences." Thank you to everyone who participated! Let's keep supporting all learners this week! 👏📚

Our Bobcat 🐾 volleyball players had an amazing time at the TAMIU Volleyball Youth Day! 🏐

They got to spend the day with the TAMIU team, learning new skills and cheering them on. It's a fantastic experience to see college athletes in action and get inspired! Thanks to TAMIU for hosting our purple and white Bobcats! 💜🤍

A huge congratulations to the Ryan Elementary Purple Team for their stellar performance and WIN yesterday against the Lady Bulldogs. The team played with incredible heart, great teamwork, and showed off their incredible skills. We are so proud of all our young athletes for representing Ryan with such spirit and determination! Great news for the health of our Bobcats! 🐾 Yesterday's Flu Clinic at Ryan Elementary was a huge success. We were able to give a good number of our students their flu shots, helping keep our campus healthy all season long! Thank you to everyone for sending in your consent forms! 💙

ACTION REQUIRED: If you haven't already, please return your consent form to the front office or your child's teacher immediately! Students must have a completed form on file to receive the vaccine.

A big thank you 🙏 to Investigator Joey Baeza from the Laredo Police Department 👮‍♂️ for visiting Ryan Elementary last week! We loved having him read to Mrs. Flores's 2nd-grade class 📚 as part of the "Books and Badges" program. It's a wonderful way to connect our students with our community heroes! 💙🐾

The safety of our students and staff remains the highest priority at Laredo ISD. After assessing current weather conditions, Laredo ISD will be delaying the start of classes on Thursday, September 25, 2025, due to possible thunderstorms and flooding. Laredo ISD elementary schools will begin their classes at 9:45 a.m., while middle school students will start the day at 10:00 a.m. LISD high schools will start their day at 10:15 a.m. All Laredo ISD administrative offices and departments will be open on Thursday, September 25, 2025. Central office staff is expected to be at work at 9:30 a.m. Classes will resume on Monday, September 29, 2025, as regularly scheduled. Be assured that Laredo ISD will continue monitoring weather conditions and notify the public of any other changes in our schedule via the District’s social media and website at www.laredoisd.org.
